Vai Beach

Right next to it lies the Vai Palm Forest, which boasts the largest natural palm grove in Europe, filled with thousands of Cretan date palms (Phoenix theophrasti), a species that’s native to the eastern Mediterranean. This unique ecosystem gives the area a tropical vibe that’s quite rare for the region.

The beach itself is a paradise, featuring soft, golden sands and crystal-clear, shallow waters that are perfect for swimming and unwinding. You’ll find plenty of amenities like sunbeds, umbrellas, and nearby restaurants serving up delicious local dishes. Plus, the area is part of the Natura 2000 network, which helps protect its remarkable plant and animal life.
